The whole place is smoke-free, indoors and outdoors, including every terrace and balcony. It covers cigarettes and vapes, and equally marijuana, shisha and anything else that is burned. Candles are the exception. Our clean air policy.
The neighbourhood is residential and stays populated in the evening, and nights are usually quiet - this is not a party area. We have hosted dozens of solo female travellers and ask every guest how they are getting on; nobody has ever told us they felt unsafe here. Yes - feel free to invite visitors. If you invite two or more people from outside the coliving, or someone for an overnight stay, please check with the host beforehand.
As a rule, no. Exceptions are rare, happen only in the J48 Penthouse, and only with the agreement of the residents staying there. Nobody who booked a home without animals ends up sharing one with an allergy they never agreed to.

English is the main language and spoken by everyone here. If the conversation before your stay runs in another language, the host will still ask about your English. Almost everyone speaks two languages or more, and English is the common ground that keeps everybody in one conversation instead of two - which is also why this website is in English only.

Some rooms have one. At U32 three of the seven rooms are ensuite, and the other four share three complete bathrooms, which usually means three to five people per bathroom. No. Every room is private and has one bed, most of them wide enough for two. When two people sleep in a room, it is because they belong together.
Between two rooms, and between a room and the kitchen or living room, the wall carries an extra 4 cm of sound insulation. Sound still finds the indirect way through doors, windows and hallways, so it is quiet rather than silent.
Every room has its own lock. Keep valuables with you or in your locked room. Nothing has gone missing so far, and we still take no responsibility for private belongings left in the common areas.
Every house has an oven, stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, blender, dishwasher, a moka pot and a V60 for hand-filtered coffee. Filtered water, coffee and tea are available at all times. Groceries and meals are yours to buy and cook. The full list.

The first two washes per started week and per guest are free, including detergent. Each additional wash costs €1. For the water, the cost and the waiting time of the others, please do not run the machine with just a tiny amount of laundry.
No, we leave it out for environmental reasons. Fans are there and get plenty of use in summer. In winter, with 20 to 22°C during the day, they mostly stay in the cupboard. What the seasons are like here.
It is not needed. Nights in Las Palmas hardly ever drop below 14°C, winter included, and warmer blankets are there if you want one. The seasons here, month by month.

Yes. The internet connection has 500-1000 MBit, and 6 hotspots distributed over the house ensure fast WiFi in every room. Additionally, every room comes with a desk, external monitor, and office chair - so you can take video calls in private. For focused work there is also a silent-area coworking space with eight desks, three of them height-adjustable, plus a walking pad and an under-desk bike.

Every room has a Full HD monitor that takes HDMI or USB-C. The coworking room has more of them, and for the rare case where that is not enough there are better ones that power the laptop over the same cable. The coworking area.
Yes, and the house is built around it. During normal working hours the focus here is work; events happen outside them. Music runs through headphones, and when it does run through a speaker on the roof terrace, it is not at a volume you hear in the coworking room. You can close your own door, or let the focused atmosphere of the silent area carry you. They are part of your stay. Up to 8 activities a month are organised when enough people are interested: yoga, handstand training, acroyoga, calisthenics, run and brunch, ice bathing and hiking. Nothing is mandatory. Community life and weekly activities.
Between €489 and €2396 per month, depending on the room, the season and how many of you come. €489 is a five-month stay from May to September in one of our most economic rooms, for one person. €2396 is one month from 25 December to 25 January in our best room, the most expensive time of the year, for two people in the same room. Cancel at least two days before your stay starts and half the deposit comes back, so you lose at most a quarter of the total rent. From two days before the start, the deposit stays with us. Yes. Check-in is self-service via a keybox, so you can arrive at any time, day or night. Please note that for a late arrival both your rent and your deposit need to have reached us by the day before. We send you the access details and directions in advance, and we just ask that you enter quietly on a late arrival, as others may already be asleep.
Check-in from 14:00, check-out by 11:00. Check-out means your room is empty and the key is handed back; you are welcome to stay in the common areas after that. Tell us when you land.

No. Almost nobody here rents one for the whole stay, and inside the city a car barely saves time once you count the search for a parking space - by bike you are often faster. The beach is a few minutes on foot, the rest of the island is reachable by bus, and a city bike subscription costs a few euros a month. A rental pays off for a day in the mountains. Parking in the streets around the houses is allowed and free, but you have to look for a space. Alternatively you can rent a spot in a car park nearby for about €15 a day or €110 a month - and if you rent the car from a company in Las Palmas, you can usually leave it parked there. Las Palmas keeps a stable rhythm all year, with daytime temperatures usually between 25 and 29°C in summer and 20 to 22°C in winter. November to March is the busy half: that is when Europeans come here for the warmth. Summer is the quiet one, and southern Europeans in particular find Las Palmas fresher than their own countries are in August.
