Why Coliving in Las Palmas?

Las Palmas has a mild year-round climate, easy access to nature, and a relaxed pace of life. For remote workers and active people, it's a practical and enjoyable base - good weather, good food, close to the ocean and the mountains.

Answers to your questions

Coliving is a form of shared housing where people with similar lifestyles live together in a community. Private rooms, shared common areas. It works well for people who want connection without flatshare drama.

Most people stay a month or longer. The coliving is built around people who settle in for a while, not around short city breaks. Get in touch with your dates and we will tell you what is possible.

No. Almost nobody here rents one. Playa de Las Canteras is about a five-minute walk, the old town of Vegueta around 30 minutes by bus, and places like the dunes of Maspalomas or the Caldera de Bandama are an hour away on public transport. A Sitycleta bike subscription costs €3.34 per month and covers most trips within the city. See the guide article Getting Around Without a Car for the details.

The neighbourhood is residential and stays populated in the evening, and nights are usually quiet - this is not a party area. We have hosted dozens of solo female travellers and ask every guest how they are getting on; nobody has ever told us they felt unsafe here. Two honest exceptions on noise: Carnival in February and events in October can be heard from the J48 penthouse. See the guide article on evenings in the neighbourhood for more.

Every room comes furnished with a desk, monitor, and office chair. Residents have access to a coworking area, communal kitchen, sport equipment, and the rooftop terrace. Weekly cleaning of common areas and a full room clean at check-in and check-out are included.

Yes. The internet connection has 500-1000 MBit, and 6 hotspots distributed over the house ensure fast WiFi in every room. Additionally, every room comes with a desk, external monitor, and office chair - so you can take video calls in private. For focused work there is also a silent-area coworking space with a height-adjustable desk, walking pad, and under-desk bike.

Yes. The first wash per started week and per guest is free, including detergent - each additional wash costs €1. Machines are shared between only a few residents - two for the seven rooms at the main house, fewer at the smaller apartments. For sustainability, cost, and to reduce potential waiting times, we kindly ask you not to run the machine with just a tiny amount of laundry.

Yes. Check-in is self-service via a keybox, so you can arrive at any time, day or night. Please note that for a late arrival both your rent and your deposit need to have reached us by the day before. We send you the access details and directions in advance, and we just ask that you enter quietly on a late arrival, as others may already be asleep.

Yes - feel free to invite visitors. If you invite two or more people from outside the coliving, or for overnight stays, please check with Thomas beforehand.

No, pets are not allowed.
