Beach Base is on the ground floor of U32, between Pole Palace and the living room. Two windows face the inner patio, one above the other. Both carry a blind and both are opened from below - the upper one at three metres by a long cord - so the room keeps its privacy while air and indirect daylight come in over the top. At 375 cm the room is high enough for a loft bed and is already prepared for one, with sockets at 300 cm. The walls to the neighbouring room and to the living room carry extra sound insulation. The beach from here

You have your own volleyball hanging from the ceiling. For a proper training session, though, you can take that one or any of our other volleyballs, grab our net and head to the beach volleyball courts just 450 metres away. The beach is also great for beach tennis, swimming and workouts.

Trade-offs

Just so you know, Beach Base has three trade-offs:

Daylight reaches the room indirectly - the windows face the inner patio, not the outside.
Sound can still carry around the corner through the hallway wall, which is not insulated to the same standard.
Ground floor: the kitchen is one floor up, the roof terrace two.

House rules

Pets and children: as a rule, no. Exceptions are rare, happen only in the J48 Penthouse and only with the agreement of the residents staying there, and a minor comes only together with a parent. No parties, and the whole place is smoke-free, indoors and out.
